How To Get Your Tag

image1

At Pahapesto Guiding Service we hunt 2 types of land: Tribal and Private. These tags are completely separate. Tribal tags are obtained through a drawing process from the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Game, Fish, & Parks. Tags for the private land are obtained through the South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks. We prefer that our hunters apply for tribal tags first because of the amount of land there is to hunt and the earlier application deadline and drawing date. If the applicant is unsuccessful through the tribe, the hunter may then apply for the state tags to hunt our private land.
